Pi Network Rumored to Join RoboPay, But No Official Confirmation Yet

A new announcement from Fabric Foundation has sparked excitement across the Pi Network community after claiming that Pi Network has joined RoboPay as a payment partner. However, Pi Core Team has not confirmed the partnership. Therefore, the development should currently be treated as an unverified claim.

What the Rumored Partnership Says

According to the Fabric Foundation, Pi would be integrated into RoboPay. RoboPay is a payment layer built for the Fabric Network that allows AI agents to discover, hire, coordinate, and pay robots on-chain.

The announcement says Pi holders could eventually use the cryptocurrency to pay for robot-powered services instead of owning robots themselves. Examples mentioned include:

  • Ordering robot grocery deliveries
  • Hiring security robots to patrol properties
  • Scheduling industrial inspection robots
  • Using humanoid assistants in retail and hospitality

The platform describes this as an “open machine economy,” where humans, AI agents, and robots can all transact using the same payment infrastructure.

How Pi Could Fit Into the Ecosystem

The announcement claims RoboPay would use Pi as its payment currency. At the same time, AI agents manage robot selection and task execution automatically.

Community discussions also point to PiRC2 smart contracts, which are designed to support recurring payments, subscriptions, and automated settlements. If integrated, users could pay robots directly in Pi for completed tasks, while robots would receive payments on-chain without intermediaries.

The broader vision is to make autonomous labor available on demand, allowing users to purchase services instead of physical robots.

Community Reacts, But Verification Is Still Missing

Several Pi community members described the development as a major step toward real-world utility. Meanwhile, others, including crypto commentator CryptoDiva, urged users to remain careful. They noted that no announcement has been made by Pi Core Team.

Without confirmation from Pi’s official channels, it remains unclear whether the partnership has been finalized or is still under discussion.

Why It Matters

If officially confirmed, the integration could expand Pi’s use cases beyond peer-to-peer payments. It could do this by connecting it with AI-powered robotics and autonomous services. In addition, it would also introduce Pi into the growing intersection of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

For now, however, investors and Pi holders will likely wait for an official statement from Pi Core Team before treating the partnership as confirmed.
