Pi Network News: PI Price Struggles As SoloHost Adds New AI Tools

Pi Network’s SoloHost platform has added two new self-hosted applications, OpenClaw and the Atlassian MCP Server, expanding what Pi Desktop users can run locally on their own machines. The rollout arrived alongside the Node 0.6.2 update, even as PI itself continues struggling to clear the $0.10 resistance level that has capped its price for weeks.

Current Price Action

PI is trading between $0.09066 and $0.09189 over the past 24 hours, with a 7-day range of $0.08869 to $0.09365. The token remains 96.9% below its all-time high of $2.99, set on February 26, 2025, and sits just 29.3% above its all-time low of $0.07059, reached as recently as July 14, 2026, only about two months ago.

What SoloHost Actually Does

SoloHost lets Pi users discover, install and run self-hosted software through Pi Desktop without manually configuring servers, Docker, or other backend infrastructure. The two new additions target different use cases.

OpenClaw is a local AI agent capable of running on either a locally hosted model or external providers like ChatGPT and Claude, giving users more control over their data while reducing dependence on remote infrastructure. When operating through SoloHost, OpenClaw runs inside a restricted container that limits its default access to the broader computer, a more contained setup compared to installing it outside the platform.

The Atlassian MCP Server, meanwhile, is aimed at developers and product teams who want to connect AI tools directly to Jira. Rather than relying on Atlassian’s own hosted MCP option, which can run into quota and reliability limits for internal workflows, this app lets users run their own local MCP server, compatible with tools like Cursor, Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Codex.

Part of a Broader Push Beyond Blockchain

OpenClaw joins Hermes, an existing local AI agent on the platform, giving Pi Desktop users two distinct options, OpenClaw focused on cross-tool personal assistance, Hermes built around persistent memory and learned behavior over time.

Together with the Atlassian integration, the additions reflect Pi Network’s stated goal of extending Pi Desktop and its Nodes into general-purpose computing utility rather than blockchain infrastructure alone, giving its reported 420,000-plus Node runners more reasons to keep their hardware active.

The Catch: SoloHost Is Still in Beta

Pi Network has been clear that SoloHost remains a beta product built on an open, permissionless publisher system, meaning individual apps aren’t vetted the way a traditional app store would vet them. Users are advised to assess each package independently and install at their own risk, a caveat that applies to both new additions.

Whether utility-driven updates like SoloHost eventually translate into price momentum is still an open question for holders watching the $0.10 level closely.
