Pi Coin is set to launch on major exchanges like OKX and CoinDCX, and the excitement is building in the community. The Pi Mainnet will go live at 1:30 pm IST (8:30 am UTC) on February 20. Over 10 million users have completed their KYC and are ready to move their Pi coins to the mainnet.

Dr. Picoin on X shared that Pi Network is about 120 times faster than Bitcoin, with a block time of just 5 seconds, compared to Bitcoin’s 10 minutes per block. They added that moving to the Open Network will greatly increase the number of transactions per block.

Reports suggest that Pi Network will begin its launch today with only 1 billion out of 6.1 billion tokens immediately available for trading. Pi Network took to social media and said that only few hours left for Open Network’s launch at 8:00AM UTC today. “The transition to Open Network will enable external connectivity on the Mainnet blockchain, allowing Pi to interface with other compliant networks and systems. This means Pioneers will be able to engage in transactions beyond the Pi ecosystem, expanding Pi’s utility and reach,” they wrote.

Binance, one of the most trusted and widely-used exchanges globally, will likely bring in massive trading volumes. Its community of global investors could push the price higher, especially given that a small percentage of Pi tokens will be available for trading at launch. The scarcity of available tokens combined with Binance’s influence could create the perfect storm for exponential price growth.
