In a surprising move, the Biden administration has reinstated Carole House as Special Advisor for Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Policy, suggesting a potential shift in its cryptocurrency strategy.

Don’t miss out on this. Read on for all the deets.

Meet the Architect of Biden’s Crypto Framework

Carole House played a key role in shaping President Biden’s executive order on digital assets. She served as the National Security Council’s Director of Cybersecurity and Secure Digital Innovation from April 2021 to June 2022. During this period, she was crucial in drafting the 2022 executive order that established a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.

On June 24, 2024, House announced on LinkedIn her return to government service as a special advisor at the White House National Security Council. Her comeback suggests the Biden administration might be adopting a more proactive and less adversarial approach to crypto regulation.

This development is especially significant as the 2024 presidential election approaches.

Crypto Assumes Centre Stage in 2024 USA Elections

As the 2024 election nears, cryptocurrency is becoming a hot topic in politics. President Joe Biden is set to debate Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump on June 27. While it’s uncertain if crypto will be a main issue, its rising prominence is clear. Trump, facing legal challenges, has been accepting crypto donations and promises to support the crypto industry if re-elected.

His campaign enjoys strong backing from crypto leaders like the Winklevoss twins, despite having to return a $2-million Bitcoin donation due to legal limits.

Carole House’s return could signal a pivotal change in US crypto policy. With her expertise and the growing importance of digital assets in the political landscape, the administration’s stance on cryptocurrency might become more engaged and supportive as the election season heats up.
