The most awaited and highly debated Trump Gala Dinner finally took place. President Donald Trump flew into his golf club outside Washington to host an exclusive dinner for the top 220 buyers of his $TRUMP memecoin

But the event was not without controversy, as 100 protesters gathered outside, shouting “shame” at arriving guests.

Although the White House did not release a guest list for the dinner, but Tron CEO Justin Sun, Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu, and BitMart CEO Sheldon Xia were some of them who shared photos from the event.

Global Guests, Luxury Gifts and Fine Dining

The top 25 spenders, who together invested over $111 million, earned exclusive access to a VIP reception and a private tour with the president. Four of them were given special Trump Tourbillon watches, each worth $100,000.

Over half of the attendees were coming from outside the US, according to blockchain data. Former NBA star Lamar Odom and top crypto investors like Ogle and Vincent Liu joined the exclusive dinner to connect with fellow whales.

Justin Sun Gets Trump Golden Tourbillon Watch

Justin Sun, the top holder who spent $18.5 million in $TRUMP coin, expressed his gratitude to President Trump, praising his support for the crypto industry. Sun, who is also the biggest supporter of Trump’s crypto platform World Liberty Financial was called on to the stage and was given a Trump Golden Tourbillon watch.

Photos from the dinner reveal that the guests enjoyed a three-course meal and gift bags. One of the videos also showed that the attendees were given a gift bag containing a black hat. Attendees enjoyed a “Trump organic field green salad” to start, followed by filet mignon and pan-seared halibut with mashed potatoes and veggies, and finished off with a warm chocolate lava cake for dessert.

Democrats Slam Trump’s Dinner

On Thursday, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and her colleagues demanded that Trump reveal the guest list for the dinner. Warren slammed the event as “an orgy of corruption,” accusing Trump of using his position to get richer through crypto. The White House brushed off ethics concerns saying that Trump was attending the dinner on his personal time.

While some protesters voiced strong calls for Trump’s impeachment, others demanded changes to the country’s financial system.  There were also signs reading “America is not for sale” and “stop crypto corruption”.
