Gold and silver prices remained under pressure on October 14, while crude oil traded higher ahead of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) report. The inflation data could influence the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate outlook and drive the next move in precious metals.

Three factors are important for gold:
Silver traded near $58.60 after falling from around $59.85. Prices moved closer to the previous week’s low of $58.50, keeping the metal under pressure.
Silver’s support is at $58.00, while resistance stands at $59.70. Prices may remain weak unless silver moves above its key resistance level.
