Is now the right time to buy Bitcoin? Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors, says that Bitcoin could soon be one of the best-performing assets in 2025. But there’s a catch it needs to drop further before it can truly soar. As bitcoin already seeing a price drop from its ATH to currently at $94K. So, let’s see what Tom Lee Bitcoin’s prediction says.

Tom Lee’s Prediction for Bitcoin

In a recent interview with CNBC, Lee explained that a 15% drop in Bitcoin’s price from its peak is not unusual for such a volatile asset. He explains that this type of correction is common and follows global liquidity trends. Lee also mentioned that we are still in the early stages of Bitcoin’s halving cycle, a factor that historically influences Bitcoin’s price.

However, Fundstrat’s technical team predicts Bitcoin could dip another $20,000 before it begins to bounce back.

Even Lee suggests that Bitcoin might drop to around $70,000 before it starts to recover. He believes this is a key level where Bitcoin could stabilize after a price drop.

Bitcoin as a Long-Term Investment

However, he further mentions that Bitcoin could fall even lower, possibly to $50,000, before starting its upward trend again.

For those considering buying Bitcoin, Lee advises taking a long-term approach. He suggests that trying to time the market might work for some, but it’s not the safest strategy. He encourages investors to view Bitcoin as a long-term investment, with strong growth potential in the years ahead.

Key Dates to Watch for Bitcoin’s

Lee also points out that January 15 is a crucial date to watch. That’s when the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation data will be released, which could impact Bitcoin’s price. Additionally, the Federal Reserve’s decisions on interest rates later in the month will be important for the broader market, including Bitcoin.

Big Gains in 2025

Despite short-term challenges, Lee remains confident that Bitcoin will perform well in the long term. Analysts from institutions like VanEck and Bitwise are also optimistic, predicting that Bitcoin could hit between $180,000 and $200,000 by the end of 2025. This would be a huge leap, especially if the U.S. establishes a Bitcoin reserve.
