Best Altcoins to Invest in 2026

As investors start looking beyond Bitcoin, altcoins are once again gaining attention for their higher growth potential. In a recent analysis, crypto analyst Nick Valdez brought to attention five altcoins he believes offer some of the strongest opportunities heading into 2026. 

Bittensor (TAO)

• The analyst remains highly bullish on the AI sector, with Bittensor ranking among his favorite picks.
• TAO is attempting to reclaim its 200-day moving average, while a breakout from its current wedge pattern could send the price toward $482-$495.
• He also highlighted a long-term logarithmic channel that has acted as reliable support and resistance since early 2024, with the upper boundary sitting near $477.

Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA)

• For Layer-1 exposure, he prefers either Solana or Cardano.
• Solana recently lost support from a major parallel channel, and he sees $78 as a key accumulation zone if the correction continues.
• Cardano is currently sitting at a major long-term support level that previously triggered rallies of around 90% and 200%. However, if that support breaks, he expects ADA to test the next major trendline support.

Ethereum (ETH)

• Despite a weaker chart structure, the analyst still considers Ethereum a must-have altcoin because of its dominance in stablecoins, tokenized assets, and real-world assets.
• Ethereum currently hosts around $49 billion in USDC liquidity, far ahead of competing networks.
• He identified $2,062 as a crucial support level and warned that a breakdown could push ETH toward $1,800, although he remains confident in its long-term strength.

Chainlink (LINK)

• The analyst continues to favor Chainlink because of its important role in blockchain infrastructure and data services.
• LINK is currently trading sideways, but he views $8.58 as an attractive accumulation level if broader market weakness continues.
• While some bearish patterns remain on the chart, he believes a drop toward $4 is unlikely.

Hyperliquid (HYPE)

• Hyperliquid stands out as the analyst’s top altcoin pick heading into 2026.
• He sees potential support around $46, while a successful breakout could eventually target $80.
• His bullish outlook is driven largely by Hyperliquid’s deflationary model, as the protocol actively buys back and burns tokens, reducing supply over time and potentially supporting higher prices even if overall market capitalization remains stable.
