The development plan announced by Alvin Kan, Chief Operating Officer of Bitget Wallet, underscores the importance of Bitcoin as the cornerstone of the crypto industry. The introduction of BRC-20 tokens, as well as Ordinals protocols, along with the expanding use of the Lightning Network are stated as the main drivers of Web3 shortly.
The Bitget Wallet currently provides a host of solutions catering to the Bitcoin ecosystem for facilitating asset management and cross-chain swaps. Among the services available to Bitcoin enthusiasts are EOA and MPC wallet services with Taproot compatibility, as well as BRC-20 and NFT transfer options via the native Bitget Swap function. The internal Bitget Wallet Dapp browser is another powerful service in the instrument’s lineup of services, giving instant access to Bitcoin ecosystem performance and transaction tracking.
The detailed plan of the Bitcoin ecosystem support initiative foresees investments and support and development efforts aimed at enhancing the functionality of the network’s growing infrastructure. The latter includes such promising technologies as the Lightning Network, Taproot Assets, Nostr, and diversified assets, such as ARC-20 and BRC-20 tokens. Bitget Wallet will also be introducing asset swaps for facilitating transfers across the Lightning Network from the Bitcoin network, supporting such assets as BTC and EVM via the Bitget Swap feature. The ultimate aim of the initiative is to advance the adoption of Bitcoin as a standard for financial operations in the Web3 environment and enhance the overall user experience by providing convenient and single-point access to all manner of DeFi and blockchain-based services, with the Bitget Wallet acting as the gateway and facilitator.
