Why Did Bitcoin Jump Today?

Published by

Bitcoin price is rising today as investors respond to a more crypto-friendly U.S. policy outlook and improving market sentiment. President Donald Trump’s push for Congress to pass the Clarity Act has boosted expectations for clearer crypto rules, while the SEC’s proposed framework for crypto fundraising added to optimism. Bitcoin also gained after the U.S. Treasury increased planned bond buybacks, helping push bond yields and the dollar lower. U.S. Bitcoin ETFs also saw about $189 million in net inflows on August 18. The move above $69,000 was further supported by short liquidations, adding more buying pressure to the market.
