
President Trump met with advisers Friday to discuss ethics language under consideration for the CLARITY Act ahead of a critical Senate procedural vote set for Tuesday, according to two people familiar with the closed-door talks. Senate Democrats have been pushing for ethics provisions that would restrict Trump’s ability to profit from his family’s crypto businesses. It remains unclear what came out of the meeting or who attended. Top Trump crypto adviser Patrick Witt struck an upbeat tone on social media Saturday, writing, “Bad day to be a Clarity Act doomer.”
