Reports indicate the disruption was caused by a crash bug in the gas charging logic introduced in the version 1.72 software release. The outage temporarily halted activity across protocols including Cetus, NAVI, Panzerdogs, and the USDC stablecoin ecosystem on Sui. No user funds were lost.
