Starting March 1, 2026, Steak n Shake will give hourly employees at its 400 company-operated U.S. locations a Bitcoin bonus of $0.21 per hour via Fold app integration. The rewards will vest after two years to promote employee loyalty. This initiative follows the chain’s May 2025 Bitcoin payment rollout, which increased same-store sales by 15 percent and reduced transaction costs by 50 percent.
