South Korea’s stock market gained as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix shares rose 4.6% and 5.9%, respectively, boosting the KOSPI index. The rally comes ahead of meetings between the companies’ leaders and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in the U.S. this week. Strong AI demand continues to push HBM4 memory chip prices higher, while analysts expect supply shortages to persist into next year. Despite concerns over future capacity expansion, many expect memory prices to remain firm through the second half of 2026.
