Senate Democrats rejected the latest CLARITY Act draft over ethics concerns, just hours ahead of Tuesday’s crucial cloture vote, according to reports. Democrats argue the new crypto ethics rules still don’t go far enough, even as Republicans have called this their final offer. Democrats are now drafting a counterproposal before the 2:15 PM vote. Sentiment across the party remains split. The bill needs 60 votes Tuesday just to move forward to debate, not final passage.
