Samsung Secures $16.5B Deal to Make AI Chips for Tesla

Samsung Electronics has signed a $16.5 billion deal with Tesla to produce advanced AI chips through 2033. These next-generation AI6 chips will be manufactured at Samsung’s new plant in Taylor, Texas. The partnership aims to revive Samsung’s struggling foundry business, which has faced heavy losses recently. Tesla CEO Elon Musk will personally oversee production improvements. This deal strengthens both companies’ positions in the growing AI and electric vehicle sectors and boosts Samsung’s chip manufacturing presence
