Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the company touched $16 trillion in transactions last year, but only about 0.1% of that volume moved on-chain through XRP, stablecoins, or other blockchain settlement. He said each 0.1% represents roughly $160 billion, and Ripple’s goal is to grow that on-chain share as overall volume expands. Garlinghouse said the $16 trillion figure puts Ripple’s transaction scale on par with Visa, and moving more of that volume on-chain would benefit customers through faster settlement, lower cost, and greater certainty. He said both stablecoins and XRP are having record years and expects the $16 trillion total to grow further in 2026.
