Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said gloomy narratives about crypto keep surfacing, but the industry has repeatedly proved them wrong. Speaking at Ripple Swell in New York on Wednesday, Garlinghouse said that in his 12 years in the sector he has heard many predictions that crypto was finished. He credited the resilience of people building in the industry for carrying it through several bear markets. Garlinghouse admitted he had hoped October would be a stronger month for the market. Even so, he said he could not be more excited about Ripple’s position and the activity it is driving across the XRP ecosystem. XRP has struggled this month, trading near $1.29, while Bitcoin has slipped below $80,000.
