Polygon has joined the Bank of England’s Digital Pound Lab alongside NOBO Finance and Dun & Bradstreet to test how stablecoins could work with a digital pound for cross-border payments. The project will explore ways to move between different forms of digital money with fewer delays and costs. Polygon will provide the smart contract infrastructure for the stablecoin settlement side, while the digital pound will run on the Bank of England’s simulated test system. The experiment will use test infrastructure and will not involve real customers or funds.
