Bank of America has named Nvidia, Intel, Marvell Technology, Micron, Lam Research and Synopsys as likely beneficiaries of continued AI infrastructure spending, even as the group fell sharply on Thursday. Marvell dropped 8.29%, Intel 6.44%, Micron 4.78%, Synopsys 3.99% and Nvidia 3.93%. BofA’s Vivek Arya said the spread of open-weight AI models, whose parameters developers can freely access, should increase demand for computing hardware because running them still needs substantial processing power. The bank expects cloud infrastructure spending to nearly double from about $510 billion in 2025 to roughly $1 trillion in 2026, with a further 37% rise possible in 2027. It also cited growing token usage as proof that AI workloads keep expanding.
