According to alleged reports, a remote access trojan has hijacked sessions and stolen over $235,000 from hundreds of crypto wallets over the past two days. How victims are being infected remains unknown, though session hijacking is suspected. Separately, a linked scam allegedly tricked victims into building an “AI trading bot” from a YouTube tutorial, with the code secretly designed to drain their wallets. About 224 wallets reportedly lost 274.6 ETH, worth roughly $517,000, with some victims allegedly asked to deposit an additional 50% after already being drained. Most stolen funds are reportedly sitting in USDC, tied to a single wallet address.
