South Korea’s KOSPI jumped more than 3.5%, reaching a three-week high as AI and semiconductor stocks led the recovery. The index has now gained nearly 30% from its late-July low below 5,300. Samsung Electronics is up about 40%, while SK Hynix has gained more than 30% from its July lows. Foreign investors are also returning, buying about $2 billion of KOSPI shares on Wednesday. However, Samsung and SK Hynix still make up more than 55% of the index, leaving the market highly dependent on global AI demand.
