The European Union is rolling out strict new Anti-Money Laundering rules that will ban privacy coins and anonymous crypto accounts starting in 2027. Under the AML Regulation (AMLR), banks, financial firms, and crypto service providers will no longer be allowed to offer or support anonymous accounts or privacy-focused cryptocurrencies like Monero and Zcash.
