Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone, expected to debut at today’s event, could launch in India priced around Rs 2.5 lakh, with sales possibly starting as early as November. That would put it nearly double the Rs 1,49,900 starting price of the current iPhone 17 Pro Max, setting a new price ceiling for Apple’s lineup and positioning the foldable as a genuine luxury device rather than just another premium option. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is separately expected to start between Rs 1.55 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh in India, with higher-storage variants likely pushing close to or past the Rs 2 lakh mark. For context, the current iPhone 17 Pro Max already crosses Rs 2 lakh in its top 2TB configuration, priced at Rs 2,29,900, showing Apple has already been testing that price ceiling before the foldable arrives.
