
Anthropic is reportedly planning a November IPO that could raise around $100 billion at a $2 trillion valuation while leaving its founders in charge. According to Business News This Week, Dario Amodei and six co-founders would hold 50.1% of votes on key strategic decisions through a special share class, as long as at least three founders keep a minimum stake. They would not control board appointments, and employees would receive certain privileged rights. Second-quarter revenue rose 14-fold to $11.5 billion, with an adjusted operating profit reported. Annualized revenue reached $65 billion by the end of July, up from just over $9 billion at the end of last year. OpenAI, by contrast, has so far declined to list.
