Cardano's big update, the Vasil hard fork, is expected to land in June.

Plutus script referencing and reference inputs are two major improvements planned to be included in the June Vasil hard fork.

CIPs for reference inputs (CIP-31) and reference scripts (CIP-33) have been submitted for implementation on Cardano and are expected to be implemented as part of the Vasil hard fork in June.

Along with other scalability improvements, these enhancements to Plutus will boost throughput for decentralized apps (DApps) decentralized finance (DeFi), RealFi, products, smart contracts, and exchanges building or operating on Cardano.

Additionally , In response to Elon Musk’s attempt to take over Twitter, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, recommended that the Tesla CEO develop a decentralized social media platform.

Hoskinson suggested that the decentralized media platform should be a cross-chain between Bitcoin, Doge and Cardano.
