Bitcoin 2022 Conference Day 2 Updates!


Miles Suter of Cash App announced a slew of new bitcoin features for the popular payments service.The platform announced integration of Lightning Network payments for users in February, but will now let users receive Lightning Network transactions as well.

Bitcoin infrastructure developer Samson Mow announced progress on favorable Bitcoin legislation in three locales around the world.

– Joel Bomgar, the president of Próspera, an “economic development hub” located in Honduras, described favorable tax regulations being established. – Miguel Filipe Machado de Albuquerque, the president of Portugal’s Madeira region announced that bitcoin investors will pay no personal income taxes. – Indira Kempis, a senator in Mexico, announced that she plans to propose regulation there to recognize bitcoin as legal tender.

A new, decentralized internet browser built on Bitcoin called Impervious was officially announced at Bitcoin 2022 following an on-stage announcement by the CEO of Impervious AI, Chase Perkins.

Strike CEO Jack Mallers unveiled a litany of high-powered partnerships for Bitcoin’s Lightning Network – including an integration with ecommerce giant Shopify.

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor said “Bitcoin (BTC) is being embraced by the US Government, and the regulatory future for the asset is bright”. He believes bitcoin is a “risk-off asset” and a safe haven, and that this is something more investors will realize over time.

Pay-Pal co-founder, Peter Thiel stole the show by throwing $100 bills into the crowd and calling Warren Buffet a “sociopathic grandpa. He predicted that Bitcoin would increase 100-fold from today’s price and that traditional finance markets would eventually crumble.
