After Terra’s Meltdown, an IMF Official Advises Against Stranding Crypto

Ms. Georgieva pointed out that cryptocurrencies are prone to risk. She explained that stablecoins backed by cash and other assets differ significantly from those that rely on algorithms to preserve their value, such as the Terra.

She also mentions directing to crypto that "It offers us all faster service, much lower costs, and more inclusion, but only if we separate apples from oranges and bananas".

Georgieva took a serious note against crypto and says that just because Bitcoin has got ‘coin’ in its name doesn’t make it ‘money’.
