Yahoo Finance Implements Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin Trading
Yahoo has joined the cryptocurrency adoption trend by introducing new functionalities into their system. Now users can trade cryptocurrency on the Yahoo Finance platform.
Yahoo Finance added features that will allow its users to buy and sell Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Ethereum (ETH) on its platform. This development has been praised by cryptocurrency enthusiasts and it is regarded as a major step forward for crypto adoption.
Founder of Morgan Creek Digital Anthony Pompilano who had earlier predicted the fall of the price of Bitcoin expressed his excitements in a tweet. In the tweet, he likened the rate of cryptocurrency adoption to the spread of a virus.
You can now buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin on Yahoo Finance.

Some in the cryptocurrency community are baffled that cryptocurrencies that are ahead of Litecoin. Therefore, in the market like Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ripple (XRP) were not included. They acknowledged that the adoption of crypto trading by Yahoo on its platform is a big deal to the crypto community, but are concerned that Yahoo has decided not to adopt cryptocurrencies based on the market hierarchy.
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) crossed the $7,000 mark on August 28, and at press time, the price is hovering around $7,024. Ethereum (ETH) currently has a price of $287 after it had spent most of last week between $270 and $280. At the moment Litecoin (LTC) is priced around $61.
Yahoo Japan Corp to Launch an Exchange
An announcement made in March by Yahoo Japan Corp stated that plans to create an exchange platform are in place. It was revealed that the exchange is expected to be launched in April 2019 or later. The announcement confirmed earlier speculations that Yahoo will be dipping its toes into a crypto exchange.
The following month, Yahoo Japan Corp announced that it has acquired a 40% stake of Tokyo-based exchange BitARG. The deal was reported to cost around 2-3 billion yen which is equivalent $18-28 million. The confirmation of this deal is Yahoo Japan corp’s introduction into the crypto-industry.
Yahoo Japan Corp which is a joint venture between Yahoo and Japan-based Softbank is currently the biggest online auction platform in Japan.
