Weixing Chen and Yang Jun, the two Chinese entrepreneurs are pairing up to launch a blockchain based ride hailing app. However, the plan is to offer different life-style services that include ride hailing and deliveries.
Weixing Chen is the CEO of Hengzhou Fun City and founder of Chinese ride sharing app Kuaidi Dache. In 2015, Kuaidi Dache merged with Didi to become China’s largest ride-hailing service, Didi Chuxing. On May 27th, at China International Big Data Industry Expo 2018, Weixing unveils his plans of launching a blockchain-based ride hailing app.
Yung Jun mentioned at event;
“I’ve been asking myself what’s the value of the blockchain. My definition is to see whether and where people can actually use it. With the use of blockchain, we can build a set of economic systems different from the previous ones…We can direct traffic from the Internet and add on different services to meet users’ needs”.
Even, Chen addresses the new approach at the same event where he was interviewed for local business publication. He stated:
“Ride hailing is the first time blockchain will be testing on a social application on mass scale”.
The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2018 was held in Guizhou City of Southwest China. Since, it is the world’s first conference on ‘big data’ subject.
But then, the both entrepreneurs have revealed and timeline and details about the project.
Moreover, the Tencent and Alibaba had entered business war, financial crisis until they collaborate in 2014. Since, to become a part of Didi Chuxing, a largest ride hailing app in china. However, the company pushed out Uber out of China during an acquisition.
Later on, this new approach by two Chinese entrepreneurs associating with blockchain based ride sharing app isn’t the first time. In month of February, Chen was involved in many crypto projects including Binance and Huobi, the major trading platforms.
