The largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea Upbit, has announced that it will be hosting an inaugural conference next month. The conference called Upbit Developer Conference 2018 (UDC 2018) will be holding between September 13 and 14 in Jeju Island, South Korea.
Upbit which is owned by Dunami Inc announced that the conference will focus on promoting blockchain-based technology. The company revealed that there has been an increase in the rate at which innovative blockchain technology are being introduced. Therefore there is a need to create a platform that will allow developers to exhibit their projects to the world. Hence, this year’s conference will run on the theme “Proof of Developer”.
The event will include several keynote sessions, technical presentations and a closing dinner. The conference will highlight topics on smart contracts, cloud computing, decentralized apps (DApps), token technology, peer-to-peer based blockchain services, stability of coins, scalability and blockchain-based platforms.
The report announced that the event will be hosting prominent blockchain developers with the aim of discussing critical issues within the blockchain ecosystem. Some of the prominent names in the cypto-world that will be expected in the conference are Mike Belshe, CEO of BitGo, Bill Shihara, founder and CEO of Bittrex. Ned Scott, co-founder and CEO of Steemit, Chen Zhuling, co-founder of Aelf. Also, Jason Goldberg, CEO of OST, Da Hongfei, founder of NEO, and Li Jun, founder of Ontology.
