A great news to all the tech designers and programmers is here. If you’re a huge Bitcoin devotee and sick of the 9-5 work schedule then the Twitter CEO has something interesting for you.
Recently, Jack Dorsey shared a twitter post advertising about the job recruitment for crypto engineers and designers to join his company Square. Also, his tweet read,
Although this venture will cost Square upwards of $500,000 per year, Dorsey elaborated on why he decided to go ahead with this plan. Jack Dorsey explained that when he asked his business partner, Mike Brock, about improving the cryptocurrency, the partner responded saying,
Pay people to make the broader crypto ecosystem better.
This announcement was just mentioned in the last week while the talk about a rapid turnaround time! Bakkt.
Despite various fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin, Jack Dorsey is still a great fan of the invention. At the 2018 Consensus Conference, Jack said,
The internet deserves a native currency; it will have a native currency. I don’t know if it will be Bitcoin or not. I hope it will be. I am a huge fan.
Although, Square’s app the “Cash App” allows its users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, this new crypto team of Dorsey is quite different. Basically, the job performance for these engineers and designers is now measurable against user growth and profit. Notably, it’s all about giving back to the community.
Main Aim Of This Crypto Community
Elaborating it further Dorsey stated, that these engineers and designers will mainly focus on the best for the crypto community as well as individual economic empowerment and not on Square’s commercial interests. Hence all results will appear open and free.
He also believes that, Square utilized a lot from the open source community for getting to this stage. And they haven’t made enough contribution. Eventually, Jack Dorsey said providing a more accessible global financial system for the internet is a small way to pay back.
This announcement has received much better response from the online commentators. The famous Bitcoin Twitter personality, WhalePanda writes,
This is how open-source development should work. Successful companies contributing to open-source software that their company is build on. Sadly most companies don’t do this. Great example of why no one needs an ICO/premine/founders rewards. Thanks jack.
