Trust Wallet, the official mobile wallet app of global cryptocurrency exchange Binance, is rolling out extensive updates amid a massive rebrand as a multi cryptocurrency wallet.
As Trust Wallet is continuing to add support for more Blockchain assets. Today, the platform announced to integrate Qtum (QTUM) support and other top blockchains. This enables control over your funds. It also provides receive, send, store and exchange your cryptocurrency right in the mobile interface.
All Trust users — on iOS and Android — will now have access to Qtum coin using the multi-coin wallet.
Basically, Qtum is an open-source, public blockchain platform that leverages the security and simplicity advantages of Bitcoin UTXO protocol while adding the convenience and flexibility of smart contracts.
However, Qtum uses an Account Abstraction Layer to decouple applications from the underlying protocol; this also maintains the performance of the blockchain and lends the ability to add more smart contract capabilities in the future. Additionally, Qtum addresses the inefficiencies of prior generations of proof-of-work blockchains through the adoption of a proof-of-stake consensus model.
The main features of this blockchain platform are :
- Uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism
- Has a multi-layered architecture
- Utilizes a decentralized governance protocol
With the increasing support more than 10 blockchain platforms, Trust Wallet claimed to be way more than just a simple Ethereum and ERC20 wallet, while also claiming to be the only mobile wallet that supports Dapp for Ethereum, POA and Ethereum Classic.
