Sirin Labs is an Israeli startup which is mainly targeting blockchain smartphone from quite a time now. Back in 2016, the company announced the launch of Solarin, basically a blockchain operating smartphone for affluent cryptocurrency investors and traders costing around $14,000.

However, this smartphone fails to gain any real traction, taking the company back to its drawing board. They again came back to the news back in March 2017 with their new Finney smartphone. Moreover, this device brought around $150 million worth successful ICO. Later on, the device- Finney starts receiving pre-orders which were priced more reasonable at $999.

Bringing Blockchain to Brick and Mortar

Sirin Labs then decides to entirely revamp its retail store at London, compensating for its Finney smartphone, which initiated shipping previous week. However, the location seems strategic, as the company is expecting this store to become an assembling place especially for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

The store location is Mayfair district at London. The source also mentions that they will sell smartphone accessories along with clothing. Kenes Rakishev, the chairman at Sirin Labs explains on why he finds London as the perfect place for starting this store:

In 2018, London’s tech sector attracted significantly more investment than other European centers, raising more than £1.8 billion. It is the ideal first location for the Finney, the first mass-market blockchain phone in the world, to go on sale.

The second store by Sirin Labs is set to launch in Tokyo, Japan, however, a specific date is yet to be revealed.
