Castle Craig, a hospital in Peeblesshire, have started a course for treating crypto addicts and deal with the underlying issues. It is helping people to survive without cryptocurrencies. Therefore, Castle Craig is a well-known alcohol and drug residential rehab clinic. It was founded in the year 1988 and is one Europe’s leading inpatient addiction clinics.
A Therapist at Castle Craig Hospital, Chris Brun says the high risk, fluctuating cryptocurrency market appeals to the problem gambler. It administers the buzz and a breakout from reality. For example, Bitcoin is traded and gained huge and losses which are made. It is a classic bubble situation.
Treating cryptocurrency addicts
The hospital has a drug and alcohol addiction events and recently established first course to treat cryptocurrency addiction by utilizing approaches organized in gambling addiction programmers. As per reports, Castle Craig says that there are no figures for the number of people addicted to cryptocurrency, but there are nearly 13 million people across the world trading in the system.
Tony Marini, a former gambling and cocaine addict says that introducing a life structure is key for addict and going through it is an experience of addition. It gives an insight and empathy towards others who have same problem. Marini adds that the first step of treatment is to join other addicts in group therapy and share their life stories.
