Russian top Universities offering cryptocurrency courses

The top 5 universities across Russia adds new courses to current finance syllabuses that are captivates on cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. Due to high demand, for the first-time academic year are offering these courses.

Russia’s top universities started to offer a special course and master’s degree classes. For the first time, they devoted to the topics of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Additionally, these courses will be incorporates into the schools’ existing programs in the academic year 2017-2018.

Particularly, five universities are interview on publication. Therefore, Moscow State University (MSU) is well-known coeducational public research university. Sergey Studnikov is a managing board member of the MSU economical faculty.

He mentions the news outlet about the school’s new cryptocurrency courses:

“We will have master classes immediately for several programs – for this we invite industry representatives”.

At HSE (Higher School of Economics) is one of the leading and largest universities in Russia. Particularly, the topic includes as part of school’s Financial Technologies course.

The St. Petersburg State University of Economics (Spbgeu) is giving two sections of its existing program. Accordingly, it is based on finance, banking and financial markets to cryptocurrency and blockchains.

High demand for crypto classes

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) is informally known as Phystech. Therefore, it describes itself as a “top 5 Russian university that is highly regards by students, engineers and scientists”.

According to Andrey, a director of the MIPT’s School, demands among students and employers, he says,

“This topic is extremely popular”.

The National University of Science and Technology(Misis) is Russia’s primary technology university in the field of steel-making and metallurgy. The Vnesheconombank (VEB) government-owned bank and Misis signed an agreement to create a center for new materials and breakthrough technologies with a focus on blockchain technology. Therefore, the students will study blockchain technology at the new training center, the publication wrote, adding that:

“In particular, students of MSU, HSE, Misis, MIPT and Spbgeu will learn about Bitcoin and other aspects of innovative financial technologies”.
