Tron has reached a million users as the price of the asset continues to rise. Also, the latest tweet by Justin Sun says that Tron adds to the list of trading pairs in the great crypto exchange Binance.

Tron’s Remarkable Week

Justin Sun, Founder of Tron, tweeted this remarkable milestone for the decentralized apps platform. Sun’s tweet follows a significant milestone achieved by the blockchain network earlier this month, reaching 100 million transactions in 173 days and averaging 578,034 transactions per day. The Tron Foundation had also been able to secure the acquisition of BitTorrent.

However, the fortunes of two of Sun’s biggest competitors (ConsenSys and Ethereum) haven’t been good in the past few months. The dApp usage of the TRON network has since surpassed Ethereum regarding the daily number of users and dApps. While Sun also took to Twitter to question their model of funding.

He said: “Ethereum and @ConsenSys are slowly imploding. The 60% layoff and 90% price drop is just the beginning. That’s what happens when u can’t keep up with DApps & no funding! Developers leaving & project shutdown will be next. Don’t go down with the ship!” Even though some people on Twitter believe this criticism is uncalled off, the Founder is using the news to draw more developers to the network.

Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, who’s the founder of ConsenSys, recently laid off 60% of his workforce to cut cost. After that Justin Sun had asked the employees of the company to send in their resumes.

Tron Donation Through Binance’s Blockchain Charity Foundation

To cap the wonderful week Tron has had, the President of Malta recognized the company. The Foundation partnered the Binance’s Blockchain Charity Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of blockchain-enabled philanthropy, and Malta Community Chest Fund.

The official announcement read: “Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange, and TRON, the blockchain-based operating system, have each committed to donating USD$100,000 in cryptocurrency to the charity.”

President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, while commenting on the partnership said the donation is a reasonable effort that other blockchain and crypto companies can emulate. Also, it provides the right platform for other crypto business to show their sound corporate social responsibility values.

Blockchain companies believe the technology can help solve the technology issues in charity. Binance-initiated Blockchain Charity Foundation (BCF) had launched its blockchain-based donation portal at the UNCTAD World Investment Forum earlier this year. The platform aims to bring transparency to many charitable organizations. The BCF platform will also help advance the progress of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
