Joe Lubin is the one great personality who leads ConsenSys, which is a company building out projects to back the Ethereum ecosystem. Joe joins the other firm ErisX as a board of directors. Moreover, a financial technology investor familiar by the name of Cris Conde also joins the firm as an adviser. According to the CEO and former head of quantitative execution at Citigroup, Tom Chippas:
We are pleased to welcome Joseph and Chris to the ErisX Board. As two leaders in the digital asset space, ErisX will benefit from the unique perspectives they offer and the enthusiasm they bring to space.
Chippas thanks Cliff Lewis, who releases from the company board for the significant support and guidance he has always offered. He said to help in shaping the digital asset spot along with the regulation of the futures market.
Back in October, ErisX experienced a crash relating cryptocurrency market. Later on it reveals the launch of a derivatives marketplace for crypto in 2019. ErisX also supported Wall Street trading firms. And Susquehanna International Group, Virtu Financial, XR Trading and DRW, funding $27.5 million worth from its investors. Joe Lubin says:
I look forward to bringing my experience with decentralized technologies and digital assets to a model that will further democratize access to digital assets. 2019 is likely to be a breakthrough year for digital assets, and the exceptional ErisX team is poised to lead.
ErisX also mentioned that it will further support futures trading regarding Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin by the first quarter of 2019. Moreover, they are planning to explore with options trading for crypto.
However, it is not yet clear about ErisX to initiate trading derivatives for Ethereum in 2019. There are questions over Ethereum to continue its regulations for giving companies green signals like Cboe Global Markets and ErisX for launching their futures and options regarding cryptocurrency.
