The research labs will be based at Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Science and another one at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The lab’s launch was announced at Beijing and will mainly focus on solving the effectiveness and stability challenges that have mainly affected the application of blockchain, and also invent better technology for the same. Some of the lab’s benefits include an annual common research workshop that will solve challenges of security, privacy protection and many more.
The Lab’s Management
The lab will be managed by:
- Dr. Jan Pei- President of smart supply chain and JD big data
- Dr. Zhenfeng Zhang the Vice Chief Engineer at the ISCAS
- Dr. Qiang Tang- assistant professor in the Ying Wu College of computing
The leaders will be integral at bringing to light the vision of the company, with both Dr. Zhang and Dr. Tang having many years of experience in the blockchain department. Today, JD.com have a total clientele base of about 300 million. With such a large number of customers, the firm is fully aware of how significant blockchain technology is at boosting transparency in the supply chain.
