Google Cloud Brings Blockchain Tools for Developers via Digital Asset

Google Cloud is all set with its recent collaboration with the distributed ledger technology (DLT) startup in intent to develop the solutions via Blockchain Toolkit.

On July 23, “Google” introduced the collaboration with “Digital Asset”. Digital Asset is basically a distributed ledger solutions provider working for the regulated financial institutions.

Digital Asset will present a software development kit (SDK) to the application developers working on Google Cloud. Now, developers can test and design blockchain applications on-demand without coding the complete platform.

In an blog post Google mentioned  that its Cloud clients can “now explore multiple ways to use distributed ledger technology (DLT) frameworks” via Digital Asset and BlockApps as well. The company also states that developers will own access to an “end-to-end toolkit to develop and deploy sophisticated distributed apps.”

The news was out that Google has launched the next Cloud event yesterday in San Francisco. This is a three-day event, based on the cloud technologies and will be accomplished till July 26.

Yet, it’s not clear that exactly how will it work for the clients. However, this week, more information will be unveiled during the Google Upcoming ‘18 event. Later this year, the company would be announcing the open-source application integrations. They would incorporate several blockchain platforms such as Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric in the Google Cloud marketplace.

Nonetheless, Digital Asset CEO “Blythe Masters”, CTO “Shaul Kfir”, and CMO “Daniel O’Prey” will present their speech at the upcoming session on the “Distributed Ledger Technology Partnerships on Google Cloud.”

The Head of Financial Services at Google Cloud, Leonard Law said in a statement:
“DLT has great potential to benefit customers not just in the financial services industry, but across many industries, and we’re excited to bring these developer tools to Google Cloud.”

Blythe Masters also explained in a blog post that this collaboration would provide developers with a full stack solution so they can unleash the potential for web-paced innovation in the blockchain. “This will reduce the technical barriers to DLT application development by delivering our advanced distributed ledger platform and modeling language to Google Cloud.

Ultimately, Digital Asset has set up the Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) and Distributed Ledger platform-as-a-service (PaaS) program on Cloud. This will now be available via Google Cloud’s Orbitera app marketplace.

Google is looking to explore the digital ledger technology. This is to give its cloud services an edge over its competitors holding huge market share than Google Cloud.
