Customers of Swiss banking group Swissquote can now trade Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Ripple against EUR and USD trading pairs. Thus, following addition to the online trading platform on Monday.
The move is due to the fact that cryptocurrencies were increasing in popularity. However, the four were confirms on consumer demand and liquidity. The aim is to provide traders with diversification opportunities.
Marc Bürki, CEO of Swissquote, said,
“Our Bitcoin trading offer and certificate have been a big success and exceeding our expectations. We are expanding our offer to help investors diversify in cryptocurrencies, just like they do in traditional securities. Cryptocurrencies are increasingly popular, more quickly than anyone expected. By offering them on our platform, investing in cryptocurrencies becomes simpler, safer and accessible to all”.
The four assets will trade on the market in addition to Bitcoin, which was adding earlier this year after Swissquote partnering with Bitstamp to allow its trading.
The move is one of the many that signifies cryptocurrencies’ appeal to mainstream even as more Bitcoin futures launched.
