How Hyperledgers Fabric is taking shape?
When asked about the development of Hyperledger’s cloud computing platforms and its commitment in the cloud, Brian Behlendorf revealed; The project has nearly spent three years after launching in December 2015. He explained saying that initially, the project software was research and development oriented. And however that their code was not stable enough to be adapted for deployment at the beginning.
Also explained that after some serious hard work, the company developed Fabric around mid-2017. Hyperledger Fabric is a blockchain framework implementation and one of the Hyperledger projects hosted by The Linux Foundation. Fabric is a foundation for developing applications with a modular architecture. The platform allows components such as consensus and membership services. Hyperledger Fabric leverages container technology to host smart contracts called “chaincode” that comprise the application logic of the system. Digital Asset and IBM contributed to Hyperledger Fabric, as a result of the first hackathon.
Brian revealed that Fabric solved the questions like, how to grow the community, how large should the community be? What standards to follow? He said there is a third party security contractor that scans the platform for security vulnerabilities. Brian said there are already many companies using Fabric on Amazon Web Service. He boosted saying it is a good gesture that their technologies are not just ready for early adopters but ready for the broader market as well.
Benefits of Certification on Hyperledger Fabric
When asked about the benefits of certification for companies or individuals signed up on Fabric, Brian said certification provide a professionalization of the platform. He explained that certification helps to make people understand the value of Hyperledger Fabric. Since Fabric provides a platform where coders meet future clients, certification gives more trust to the client. The Hyperledger Fabric certification comes after training and tests exclusively provided by Hyperledger. Heperledger Fabric provides space for developers to earn a living remotely working on amazing real-life projects.
So, how do we help blockchain technology go from this early Cambrian explosion of a lot of different ideas into something that’s a bit more predictable? I’ve been accused of making blockchain boring, and I’ll take that! said Brian Behlendorf.
Are you planning on reaching out to developers beyond the blockchain world? If so, how? Brian mentioned that hyperledger intends to expand its outreach beyond blockchain. He said his company developed a dedicated section where developers can directly update their profiles. The platform also allows developers to write short blogs on projects they undertook. According to Brian, these can help market the developer beyond blockchain.
On building, public confidence on blockchain technology Brian Behlendorf said more people should start working within blockchain. He stressed that more publication relating to blockchain should be encouraged. He compared blockchain to the early days of the internet saying the technology would stabilize with time and gain more adoption.
Hyperledger has also developed a blockchain powered marketplace for developers and companies seeking cloud computing solutions. Developers can work remotely and earn a living on the platform.
