Bittrex to Delist Coins- Bitshare, Bitcoin Private and Bitcoin Gold

Due to insufficient trade volumes, the exchange will delist Bitcoin Gold (BTC), Bitshare (BTG) and Bitcoin Private (BTCP) as a process of platform management.


Thirty-eighth largest exchange (by volume), Bittrex delist three wallets that do not have sufficient market. This does not come as a shock. As it is not uncommon for Bittrex or other exchanges to delist tokens after a certain time. Poloniex is to delist a few altcoins as well for the same reasons.


Bittrex Delists Bitshare, Bitcoin Private and Bitcoin Gold

BTG suffers a 51 percent attack recently and various exchanges lost money worth almost $18 million while Bittrex lost 12372 BTG. As for BTS, the coin does not generate enough liquidity volumes for the exchange to support. According to Coin Market Cap, Bitshares generates $3.7 million volume per day.

Bitcoin Private, a fork of Bitcoin hasn’t been generating any potential news. The project hasn’t made any significant impact on the industry just yet. This may change in the future, however, Bittrex won’t be a part of it. It decides to delist these wallets on November 5, 2018. This decision comes as a routine part of their ongoing platform management for performance and operational efficiency.

According to the official statements by the exchange: users with balances in any of the above-mentioned coins must recover before November 5, 2018, post which the balance will not be available.

Bittrex is a US crypto exchange born on 2013 at Seattle Washington by Bill Sinhara and two other partners. A total of 250+ coins are listing on the exchange. It is the 38th largest exchange at the time of this writing by Coin Market CapBinance’s will also delist coins as per today’s tweet.

Binance Delists ICN, CHAT, BCN & TRIG

The four coins that will be delisted are Bytecoin (BCN), CHAT coin, Iconomi (ICN) and Triggers (TRIG). As per the official website

….the Binance team conducts comprehensive and periodic reviews of each digital asset listed on our platform. However, this is to ensure projects maintain a high standard of quality

The coins will be delisted on October 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM UTC. However, withdrawals will support even on the next day i.e. November 13, 2018. In dept reasons as to why Binance chose to remove these coins are on the official support page of Binance.
