This week, over 600,000 customers of Sweden’s largest online stockbroker Avanza Bank. It is now allowing its clients to track Bitcoin assets using their account interface.
More customers are investing in Cryptocurrencies- Avanza Bank
The well-known financial firm of Swedish Avanza Bank was founded in 1999. Since, it provides an online stockbrokerage service with the largest number of trades that takes place on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Recently, the firm declares it would provide a feature that allows an entire scenario of their customer’s portfolio including Bitcoin investments.
Johan Prom, stockbroker’s CEO explains,
“More and more of our customers are investing in Cryptocurrencies, and therefore it is natural that they can follow the value directly with us”.
Claes Hemberg, bank’s savings economist doest like Bitcoin
Although. The bank is looking forward to providing cryptocurrency, bank’s own savings economist, Claes Hemberg. Recently, he has outspoken against Bitcoin in the past and had said Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme.

“Instead, I look forward to the possibility that the Swedish Riksbank will offer a first serious alternative – the e-krona – within 1-2 years”.
He also said that he believes Bitcoin is no different than the MLM scheme Onecoin. However, hemberg is not concerned about Avanza choosing Bitcoin still he mentions that they didn’t ask him about the decision.
He explains to the press,
“Avanza is developing products that they think are good, while I say what I consider to be good for the savers”.
Moreover, Avanza Bank firm joins other mainstream financial institutions offering Bitcoin services. Likely, US firm’s Fidelity and USAA, the Slovenian bank Hranlinicia Lon and Norway Skandiabanken.
