“We’re Watching Cryptocurrency”, Says Apple Pay Vice President


Today, on the iPhone 11 launch event, there is a big crypto announcement about to happen. As the Vice President of Apple Pay, Jennifer Bailey disclosed last week that her company is “watching cryptocurrency” and  “think[s] it has interesting long-term potential.”


Apple’s competitor, Samsung has also taken major steps into the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency world. This includes the addition of Blockchain Keystore into Samsung galaxy S10 and Note 10 models. This allows the users to securely store keys to their Bitcoin and crypto wallets on their devices. 

Today, Apple’s annual iPhone event is at Cupertino, California. Here the company will unveil a number of products with the launch of iPhone 11. According to recent reports, Apple may launch three phones which are iPhone 11 with both Pro and Max variations. 

Recently, Apple also announced that its new credit card will not allow its users to purchase cryptocurrencies. Apple also revealed that the users with credit cards running in partnership with Goldman Sachs cannot purchase Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. This is as per the announcement posted on Goldman’s website.

Tim Cook, who is the present CEO will use this launch event to bring about the improvements to the iPhone camera or might be the launch of a new watch or the upgrades to the Apple TV.
