It is not controversial to say that cryptocurrency can be a volatile place. Take the market leader Bitcoin (BTC) as an example; In the last 3 months, BTC has been as high as $51950 and as low as $33184.

During this time there have been peaks and dips galore, showcasing both the frustration and the jubilation that crypto can bring.

Away from Bitcoin, there have been many many other opportunities for investors to make money. As winter turns to spring, millions of people are looking for a surefire place to put their money.

There are several options to consider. Established crypto behemoths like Ethereum (ETH) could be considered a solid bet.

Those that are perceived to be sleeping giants such as Cardano (ADA) may be ready to explode. Finally, new cryptocurrencies, including the very promising Secure Crypto (SCT), may be worth an investment.

    Ethereum (ETH)

Everyone in the crypto-sphere, as well as countless numbers of people who are yet to be involved, know Ethereum (ETH).

It is the second biggest cryptocurrency, after Bitcoin (BTC). Its market cap is currently hovering around the $350 billion mark, over 4 times the amount of Tether (USDT) which is currently occupying the 3rd spot.

Ethereum is the platform for thousands of DApps (decentralized applications), and despite stiff competition from the likes of Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) (more on that later), is still by far the go-to for blockchain developers.

In addition to this, ETH is the currency with which the vast majority of NFTs are bought and sold.

ETH has some downsides, most notably its fees. Due to the rampant success of the Ethereum Network, transactions can sometimes take time to be completed, and as a result, gas fees can be extremely high.

In 2022, these negatives are due to change. The long-awaited upgrade, to ETH 2.0, is slated for release this year.

The creators of Ethereum claim this will go a long way to improving the scalability issues. Should this problem be overcome, ETH is a cryptocurrency in which to invest for the long haul.

    Cardano (ADA)

Cardano (ADA) is a proof-of-stake blockchain and at the time of writing has the 8th largest market cap of all cryptocurrencies. Its proof-of-stake model is more environmentally sustainable than Ethereum (ETH) and its creators have stated that their mission is to provide “change-makers, innovators and visionaries” with the platform to help bring about positive global change.

One of ADA’s initiatives was to plant a million trees, a goal which they reached last month. ADA has previously been higher in the rankings and thanks to its sustainable outlook on business, has been tipped to become an even bigger player in the top 10.

    Secure Crypto (SCT)

Secure Crypto (SCT) is a blockchain-based currency that offers fully decentralized communication services. In contrast to mainstream apps like WeChat and Telegram, the goal of this new Cryptocurrency is to revolutionize the way we interact online by providing a better experience for consumers.

Messages, for example, are not saved permanently, and it is impossible to retrieve data once it has been withdrawn from the network server.

This assures customers of its reliability, as they can rest assured that their personal information is entirely secure.

Furthermore, the ecosystem’s stability is guaranteed by denominating all messages and transactions in Secure Crypto tokens (SCT), whose value is solely determined by the ecosystem’s services, size, transaction volume, and messaging volume. This demonstrates its originality.

Users can earn extra Secure Crypto (SCT) tokens by participating in various activities. Holders will also be able to buy premium services, send message blasts, and build subscription channels, among other things.

According to crypto analysts, this currency has filled a void in the market by offering people an updated and more efficient communication service that offers its customers a variety of perks.
