Bitmex, a Seychelles-based exchange issued a statement on Monday stating that the access will be revoked from Seychelles, Hong Kong, and Bermuda, where it’s headquarters are located. BitMEX’s service is also unavailable to the citizens of eleven regions. These include the US, the province of Québec in Canada, Cud Sevastopol, Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Sudan.
Bitmex states that this move is to achieve and ensure “Continued Compliance”, renowned economist Nouriel Roubini claims otherwise. As per a debate with BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes, Roubini has raised a few concerns regarding the credibility of their trading services.
